1, 2, 3 – Pasta is ready

I think that pasta is the best fast food that you can get. Lately I have tried to eat less pasta, but now days the whole grain pasta is my thing. It is just perfect to satisfy my pasta lush with a bit healthier way. :)

This sauce is so tasty and easy to prepare. It comes quite fast so I challenge you to try this when you have only 15 minutes time to prepare a tasty dish. You can prepare the sauce as the same time than your pasta is boiling. This is not mine own recipe but my own version of it; I have eaten this food in Kuopio many times. Comfort food.

Ingredients (for two):

1/2 onion

1 glove of garlic

1 table spoon olive oil

1 can (400 grams) of good quality crushed tomatoes (Mutti for example :) )

1 table spoon balsamic

2 table spoons honey

salt

pepper

fresh thyme

100 grams soft goat cheese (for example President’s Sainte Maure or similar)

about 200 grams pasta for two persons

Chop onion and garlic and fry them with oil in a pan a couple of minutes. Medium heat is enough to make onions a bit softer. Add crushed tomatoes, balsamic and honey. Season with salt, pepper and thyme. In the mean while boil the pasta in salted water. When you pasta is almost ready add goat cheese pieces into the sauce. Press them under the surface so they become hot but do not melt them totally – cheese chunks are quite nice in the sauce. You can leave some of the cheese together with the thyme on top of the dish for decor.
