Breakfast idea – Yoghurt with orange & ginger syrup and roasted almonds

This is so simple recipe and it makes a perfect side dish for your breakfast or brunch table, so I don’t have any other options than share this lovely energy booster for you. :)  The Spanish oranges are now in the season, so I recommend you to use those for the syrup if you can find them from stores.

Ingredients:

natural yoghurt (e.g. Turkish)

chopped and roasted almonds

Orange-Ginger suryp 

juice of two oranges

1 table spoon sized piece fresh ginger, peeled

0,75 dl sugar

1. Add syrup ingredients into a kettle, mix and let simmer in medium heat until mixture thickens and starts to resemble syrup. Let it cool down.

2. Serve the syrup with yoghurt and chopped and roasted almonds.
